Both series also have people forced into a game with rules-based off on a similar game that people are familiar with. Similar to Squid Game, Gantz is a psychological thriller that focuses on human nature and violence. It puts characters into situations that test their morality to survive. Both series revolve around shock value and how it can be turned into a narrative device making you feel the character’s dread.
