Is Jiraiya really coming back to Boruto? Is Jiraiya really Kashin Koji? How is Kashin Koji a clone of Jiraiya? Is Kashin Koji stronger than Jiraiya? Is Kashin Koji anything like Jiraiya? These were all questions we all had especially after Boruto chapter 47. And I am here to answer all these questions.
Jiraiya also known as the Toad Sage, Pervy Sage, one of the Legendary Sannin, godfather and sensei to both Naruto Uzumaki and his dad, Minato Namikaze. Left quite a mark on the Naruto franchise.
Inspired by a Japanese folktale. Called “The Tale Of The Gallant Jiraiya,” Jiraiya was a passionate, curious, loyal, charming and creative person, who had stolen a place in the hearts of every fan of the Naruto franchise.
So when his life was cut short during Naruto Shippuden, we were completely heartbroken. So when Boruto, the series dangled the idea of Kashin Koji being related in some way or being Jiraiya himself! I was ecstatic.
In Boruto Naruto Next Generations manga chapter 22, Kashin Koji of KARA was reintroduced, causing a lot of controversy, speculations and theories. However, it ended with chapter 47 of Boruto, one of the many manga’s secrets was unraveled.
Is Jiraiya really Kashin Koji?
No, but Kashin Koji is a clone of Jiraiya. Confirmed by Ōtsutsuki Isshiki in chapter 47 of Boruto. According to Isshiki Ōtsutsuki claiming he was cloned by Amado, who collected Jiraiya’s DNA to end the terror of Isshiki.
How is Kashin Koji a clone of Jiraiya?
Boruto: Naruto Next Generations has revealed that a clone of Jiraiya has been in our midst, moving forward long after his original’s death at the hands of Pain of the Akatsuki. Created by Kara’s head of research and development, Amado.
After fourteen boys were killed in an attempt to implant karma for Isshiki, Amado decides to plan the downfall of Otsutsuki. Using the clone of Jiraiya of The Great Three, he plans to kill Ōtsutsuki Isshiki.

Is Kashin Koji stronger than Jiraiya?
Yes and No.
Kashin Koji is a member of Kara, modified and augmented with ninja tools to be able to go head to head with Isshiki Ōtsutsuki the leader of Kara.
He can also use Sage mode perfectly but Jiraiya has a lot of experience, after all there is a reason why he was cloned instead of any other ninja. And even if he can’t win he will definitely give Kashin Koji a hard time.
