Hey everyone, welcome back to MA2. Today I want to talk about Jump Force.
Jump Force
Release: Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One
Jump Force is an upcoming fighting game coming out in February 2019, developed by Spike Chunsoft and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment.
It features characters from various manga series featured in the Weekly Shōnen Jump in celebration of the magazine’s 50th anniversary.
I was so excited when I found about this amazing game, that as almost every anime character we have loved duking it out.
It being made with the Unreal Engine 4, and its a 3-on-3 tag team fighting game with 39 playable characters so far.
The story is that when the real world collides with the Shōnen Jump universes, some of our heroes come together and form the “Jump Force” to fight against whoever is causing this phenomenon.
You’ll be fighting in scenes based on real world locations, such as Himeji Castle, Hong Kong, San Francisco and New York, as well as series-specific settings. Your team shares a health bar.
Interestingly, all three characters on your team share the same one life bar – so tagging in your other fighters only serves to extend your combos, rather than regenerating lost health

You can finally make your dream 3 man team. There is also talk of DLCs after the game lauches so expect to have an even bigger roster of more characters you love.
But so far one thing is certain: don’t expect to see your favorite sports manga characters to be joining the fray, at least for now. “Adding in sports manga characters is a bit difficult… it’s mainly battle manga characters,” said Nakashima. I mean it could be a bit odd see the teenagers of Haikyu!!, Prince of Tennis, or Slam Dunk getting into a brawl with Deku.
Though we saw Death Note’s Light Yagami and Ryuk make a brief appearance in the initial Jump Force reveal trailer, they won’t actually appear as playable brawlers. That’s because all Light would have to do to win is just write down the name of his opponent – “He’d be too strong” said producer Koji Nakashima in an interview with Siliconera. Instead, certain characters will just play a part in the story.
With a long roster and more characters promised to be added, Jump Force promises to deliver hours and hours of gameplay even after completion of the story mode.
But till February we are stuck with beta test access, pictures and gameplay footage.
Till next time, am glad if you enjoyed reading this article. You can check out our other stuff and please like and share.
