We have come a long way in gaming from pixelated 8-bit worlds and blocky characters to more immersive realistic game worlds.
So you can imagine how happy I am when I get requests to review games, it’s another excuse for me to make time to play them.
Hay everyone and sorry I’ve been gone for two weeks without a word, it’s been network issues. And thank you, everyone, who reached out to see how I was doing.
Also, a special thanks to the publisher Kata Games, and DNX Gaming for recommending me to them and giving me a copy of this game to review.
So let’s get started;
I had the pleasure of giving this 2D pixelated game a test run, and I feel as if it hits all the right notes and takes me back to a simpler gaming time.

Rage Among The Stars is supposed to be a rage-inducing, fast-paced 2D platformer. Made of 40 levels, a ghost mode if you are feeling masochistic and an easy mode for those who want a more casual experience.
What happened?
Plot
You’re stranded in a strange and dangerous world. Do you have what it takes to get back home or will you be lost forever, when you rage quit?
What did you think?
Rage Among The Stars is a wonderful game by Kata Games that I felt to me it celebrated the old days of gaming, with its retro-style platformer that made me nostalgic.
The plot is simple and straightforward. The music was ok. The developer doesn’t try to sell us on their game with the latest graphics but with a simply fun and addictive gameplay.
And it delivers on its promise of making you question why you are still playing when it gets frustrating.
What was your favourite moment?
For me that would have to be it’s competitiveness, I played with my little brother and we spent hours replaying levels to beat each others best time.
It’s a game that you get through with a lot of try & error and pure luck sometimes.
What was your least favourite moment?
It can be a very painful experience especially when you play the ghost mode.
There are times when Rage Among The Stars can be frustrating as I said earlier you need a lot of luck than skill to get past certain levels.
Especially after your death count reaches 38, you need to be a very stubborn person to keep trying at some points. It was hard in ghost mode but competing with my brother definitely made it addictive and funny to laugh at our fails.
Who was your favourite character?
For me, it will have to be our hero.
What can I say I’m a sucker for an underdog, our hero keeps going no matter what. I respect his resolve.
Who was your least favourite character?
That would be the ghost, he didn’t give me any room to breathe. He definitely caused a lot of anxiety for me.
Would you like some more?
Yes, I will definitely be playing it when I have free time. I still need to beat my brother’s high score on some levels.
What have you learnt?
It takes more than shiny graphics to make a good game and Kata Games knows that.
Rage Among The Stars is a game that doesn’t take its self too seriously, it’s simply fun & addictive, reminds you of the old gaming days and just how the simplest objectives can be fun.
Till next time everyone, keep being amazing!!!!!
