Miraculous Ladybug Season 4: My Heart Breaks for Luka and I Want To Punch Gabriel Agreste

Miraculous Ladybug season 4 spoilers if you haven’t already seen it!

Okay, so I just finished watching season 4 (except for part two of Risk as it’s being released in 2 days at the time of writing this article) and I have a LOT of feelings regarding this. For the past 2 days, I’ve been in a weird fandom mood where my heart is broken and a ton of emotions. It was similar to when I watched Chat Blanc. I couldn’t watch any more for almost a week. One of the perks of being in a fandom, I think. I know that Adrien and Marinette are endgame but Luka Couffeine is such a strong and wonderful character. Sometimes I think he might be better for Marinette since he can bring calmness in her life while she’s stressed and the weight of so many responsibilities are on her shoulders (at 14!).

I love Adrien. He’s a pure sunshine child and also deserves happiness. But I think about how Chat Noir is who he truly wants to be and how he’s more active, spontaneous, and adventurous. While Marinette is also those things, I think she needs someone to help calm her down when she can’t handle all the stress she has in her life and when her anxiety makes her overthink everything.

The episode where Luka is so sad and says that Marinette is avoiding him since she knows he’s still in love with her…oh my heart. I cried. I wanted someone to hug him. Why can’t he just be happy? Marinette felt like a jerk because let’s be honest. Having pictures of your ex-crush when you are dating somebody shows that she doesn’t care about her relationship with Luka and she was with him cause he cared for her and she was trying to get over Adrien. A rebound is never the answer. I think Luka deserved better in that regard even though I think he and Marinette could be a great couple.

Why didn’t he tell her he knew and who does he end up with?

Also, I don’t know why he didn’t tell her that he knew she was Ladybug during Wishmaker. In my opinion, if he tells her, that will be a big relief for her since she won’t have to hide her secret. And I think that Luka would be understanding during their dates and they’ll just pick up where they left off. Is it because he thinks she’s in love with Adrien and just wants her to be happy?

There’s been speculation that he’ll end up with Zoe but I haven’t seen enough interaction to see that yet. They’re both creative so they’ll have that in common. Also, Chloe even said Luka was cute in the season 3 episode Miracle Queen. Though I don’t think it’ll be Chloe. Thomas Astruc has even said that some characters just don’t get a redemption arc when he replied to a fan asking about Chloe. So maybe it’ll be one of them?

Miraculous Ladybug Season 4: Gabriel Agreste

Okay and now on to the world’s biggest jerk in animated history. Okay, maybe not the BIGGEST but at least top 5. We’ve seen in Oblivio and now in season 4 that anytime Adrien finds out, his father also finds out and uses it to his advantage. Uses his SON! He’s the reason that they can’t find happiness. And I want someone to punch him in the face.

That man deserves no redemption arc. And I know I’m not the only one who thinks so. So many fans have mentioned this. The man’s neglected his son, he’s terrorized PARIS, and for what? Because he’s obsessed with his wife? No, he doesn’t love his son. He wouldn’t want him to die, but as we saw in Chat Blanc and Ephemeral if he has the option to emotionally manipulate the poor boy, he will. And Natalie has no problem with doing it as well.

Natalie isn’t the best either…

I’m not sure about her. She’s in love with Gabriel Agreste but why? Doesn’t she know that Gabriel will choose Emilie over her if they do recover her? I know people do crazy things for love but they both take it too far.

Finally, we have the most ridiculous part of all. He’s willing to single-handedly KILL and TERRORIZE just to reach his goal. So many times people were turned to statues or killed in some way or almost killed. Sure Ladybug’s cure could fix it but that’s not Gabriel’s goal. He doesn’t WANT Ladybug to fix everything after she uses her Lucky Charm. Would the akumitized people stay the same or would he use them in different ways?

Not to mention, the wish to bring back his wife literally ends and rewrites the universe. I kinda wish Noroo would explain this to him but maybe he has tried and couldn’t get a word in, or possibly he doesn’t know? Though I don’t think it’s the latter since all the rest of the kwami’s knew about it. It seems likely that if history rewrites itself, Gabriel Agreste will die as well. When will the time period restart? To the beginning? The start of Gabriel’s life since he would be the one to make the wish? There are several possibilities and if that happens, life possibly won’t turn out the same, and he and Emilie might not even meet or have Adrien.

Final Thoughts on Miraculous Ladybug Season 4

What are your thoughts on Miraculous Ladybug season 4? There’s been up to 7 seasons with episodes to be announced but no official dates for them. I’m curious and excited about the other seasons, but also a little hesitant to see our lovelies get hurt. I still hate Gabriel Agreste and hope someone does punch him in the face. And I want everyone to get a happy ending. Except for Gabriel. He can rot in jail while Adrien does better without him. Also, another thought. Do you think the writers will confirm WHY Adrien and Marinette are meant for each other? They’re both written very well but in reality, anyone can be meant for someone. It takes so much work for any relationship. But maybe because it’s not reality that they have just one person who is THEIR person and that’s it. No deeper meaning.

Miraculous New York-United HeroeZ
Miraculous New York is a 62-minute special TV movie of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir. Its U.S (and world) premiere was released on September 25, 2020 on Disney Channel.

FULL SPOILERS AHEAD INCLUDING THE MIRACULOUS MOVIE

To celebrate the friendship between France and the United States, Marinette’s class is traveling to New York City. Everyone is excited for the trip. However, Adrien is sure that his father will refuse to let him go. Determined not to let Adrien stay alone in Paris with Lie- Lila Rossi, Marinette declares her intention to speak to Adrien’s father and convince him to let Adrien go.

Gabriel Agreste sees a video of a necklace that Marquis de Lafayette gave to George Washington during the Revolutionary War and realizes it is a lost Miraculous: the Eagle Miraculous.

When Marinette comes to speak with him about letting Adrien go on the trip to New York, he doesn’t hesitate to permit Adrien to go. Since Gabriel is also going to New York to take the Eagle Miraculous, he won’t have to worry about explaining his absence, and he’ll be able to keep an eye on Adrien. As a viewer, we know it’s because he’s a douche-canoe and needs to leave. We see Kagami kiss Adrien on the mouth and Marinette kiss Luka on the cheek. As this is supposed to be set after season 3 but before season 4, we can conclude that they are a couple there. Unsure if it’s the first time or not. It didn’t look like a first time kiss.

This is a dream opportunity for Marinette and Adrien to get closer. Especially since Gabriel Agreste has accepted that his son take part in this trip. From the plane, the schoolchildren witness the spectacular intervention of four illustrious superheroes to neutralize a terrible villainous Techno-pirate who has just seized the reactor. Lady Bug and Chat Noir will join forces with the super heroes to defend the peace in New York and preserve the Statue of Liberty.

Miraculous New York Trivia
- Originally, this special was titled “Ladybug in New York City”.
- The first concept art seen for “Miraculous New York” is almost an exact replica in structure to Pixie Girl‘s promotional art where Pixie Girl looks down on New York City.
- The events of this special take place between season 3 and season 4.
- This is the first time that Gabriel Agreste/Hawk Moth himself wants a Miraculous other than those of Ladybug and Cat Noir.
- This is the third time the US premiered Miraculous-related content before other countries did. The first two being in Captain Hardrock and Ikari Gozen.
- The space power-up is shown for the first time and the names for these forms are revealed to be Cosmo-Bug and Astro-Cat respectively.
  - Its also revealed that when Ladybug and Cat Noir power up, they don’t need to feed the power up potion to their Kwami’s, but instead can eat it themselves while transformed.
EXTRA SPOILERS

This episode reveals the existence of another Miraculous, the Eagle Miraculous, and by extension, the Eagle Kwami, named Liiri. It also confirms that, while the Miracle Box is located in Paris, there are many more Miraculous that exist all over the world.

This also confirms that the Dormant Sentimonster created by Master Fu didn’t actually eat all the Miraculous (with the exception of the ones in the Chinese Miracle Box), as there are lost Miraculous spread around the world, having only eaten the ones existing at the temple at that moment.

Since one of the many duties of the Guardians is to watch over those they gave the jewels too and since not all of the jewels were eaten it likely hints that maybe not all of the Guardians were either.

With the Eagle Miraculous missing for over 200 years it could also mean that maybe the jewels and their holders aren’t always watched by the Guardians.

Some plot holes and questions from the show’s beginning are made clearer or answered in this special:

The Miraculous have an ability to magically disguise the identity of the wearer to human observers. However, AI are not affected by this, which is how Uncanny Valley was able to recognize Marinette’s and Adrien’s identities.

It is revealed that Nathalie lives in the Agreste mansion. It’s not clear whether she has always lived there or only does so because she’s bedridden from excessive use of the Peacock Miraculous.

According to Thomas Astruc, the first version of the script could have made a two hour movie. Story arcs were planned for Ms. Mendeleiev, Mr. Damocles and Chloé, but they had to cut a lot of stuff. Despite the story arcs being removed from the movie, it’s unknown if they’ll be used in future episodes or not.

Miraculous New Characters

Jessica Keynes also known as “Jess“. She is initially known as Sparrow.

Aeon is an android superhero in the United States of America. AKA Uncanny Valley

She’s one of the few who could tell/see through the miraculous disguise and know the identities of Chat Noir and Ladybug.

Olympia Hill is the civilian identity of Majestia. Totally the writers nod to Marvel!

Barbara Keynes also known as Knightowl, is a superhero in the United States. Also Sparrow’s Mom.

Yes, dialogue was rushed. Like at the end it didn’t take much for Sparrow to convince the other guardian to make a new team.

I definitely want MORE, hahaha..

I liked that it was made known that they’re still made for each other. And Adrien was totally into Marinette in this film. Dancing with her, sharing food with her, all the little moments that he went out of his way to make happen. Sigh. Definitely on the last point about the guardian. They put so much effort into little things, like the miraculous box being authentic, but skip large chunks of necessary dialogue. It’s frustrating.

Marinette being true with herself about her feelings for Adrien was awesome.

Also, back in Paris, Adrien didn’t seem too thrilled to be staying behind with Kagami, haha. Then he was really excited when he got to go and was sitting next to Marinette.

I think there was a slip up with Adrien renouncing Plagg. He should have gone back in the ring until someone put it back on, but he was in Marinette’s purse. Seems they are bending the rules there.

So what do you guys think of Miraculous New York? I thought it was pretty good. Not like “best Miraculous Episode ever” levels. But it was really good. I enjoyed the marinette and adrien moments even though the show left me with more questions than answers.

Miraculous Villains: Who Was the Best?

Miraculous Villains: Who was the best? There’s no question that Miraculous Ladybug has had some pretty cool and pretty WEIRD villains. And while we’re all waiting for the reveal to happen and season 4 to FINALLY come out after the craziness of the world, here’s a fun little list of miraculous villains. I should note that Hawkmoth is not on here, nor is Volpina. Because I hate them both too much right now.

Dark Owl

He was one of the few that almost won! Despite the somewhat silly costume, we got the almost reveal. Unsure whether Tikki and Plagg already knew who each others charges were but they certainly do know now.

Stormy Weather

Stormy Weather is by far the best, so awesome she has the skills to become a main antagonist. I mean, being able to control any type of weather is cool enough but she could inflict serious damage on people. Her abilities make her one of the best miraculous villains.

The Mime

He has a very cool power and his design is dope. Also he carried almost the entire Eiffel Tower on his own! He’s easily the strongest foe Ladybug has ever faced, and if this weren’t a kids show, he’d be even more terrifying.

Mr.Pigeon

Just because it said “Best” doesn’t mean the villain wasn’t funny but pure evil. So I say Mr.Pigeon Is the most funniest goofball in this. I mean screw all the other miraculous villains! This guy got akumatized 23…no! 25 times!

The Evillustrator

Quite possibly the most powerful of all the miraculous villains. He can draw ANYTHING, including nuclear bombs, giant asteroids, unstoppable tanks, you name it, and it becomes real! And can erase anything he wants from existence! Talk about overpowered! And just awesome in general!

He needed to realize just how powerful he could be! He could have drawn an army of evil Ladybugs, or erased Ladybug’s lucky charm! The possibility are literally endless.

Copycat

L’ Imposteur or Copycat is a villain from the French show, Miraculous Ladybug . A villain with a power to impersonate people, especially Chat Noir . His civilian self is Theo Barbeau, a sculptor who has crush to Ladybug . His akuma is contained on the newspaper article that he use as an inspiration for his sculpture. Considering how much I already like Chat noir, it was easy to include Copycat in this miraculous villains list.

Timebreaker…(best miraculous villain?)

Timebreaker (Chronogirl in French) is an akumatized villain from the show Miraculous Ladybug. Her power is absorbing people’s energy to make her stronger. Her civilian self is Alix Kubdel.

Alix/Timebreaker is arguably the most powerful character in Miraculous. Although the Miraculous are pretty powerful, their abilities are honestly mainly enchanted objects and superhuman strength/agility. Alix can kill with a single touch, not just kill in fact, erase you from existence and use your vital force to make her stronger. She is deadly fast, strong, agile and has the ultimate power: time breaking. Although Evillustrartor, Inverso and the Sandman are pretty overpowered, Timebreaker and Horrificator are really the only unstoppable villains, because they grow stronger on what makes you weak. They also really have it in for everybody, not just seeking revenge or love.

The Puppeteer

If she was an adult she would be so close to winning. Manon was freaking scary in this. Being able to control more than one miraculous user at once is almost unlimited power. Can you imagine if she had the Hawkmoth doll????

Puppeteer DID control Cat Noir, but Ladybug had the upper hand – Puppeteer is just a kid, and when she fought her, she was in a room surrounded by possible weapons.

Simon Says

Pretty much has the ability to make other people obey him. he can also make others work for him or even stop them from moving. He broke through Gabriel’s security, and we’ve all seen how intense that is! He is one of the few akumatised miraculous villains who almost achieved their goal.

Sandboy

And in my opinion, facing your fears is the hardest thing of all.
He brings peoples nightmares to life

The Pharaoh

I just look at all the powers, given to him by the ancient gods, and I can’t stand it. He just has to say the name of a god and gets amazing powers.

Not Another Stupid Dare: Chapter 2

A new fanfiction done by marykayle ! This is just the second chapter. The last 2 will be posted later. Go ahead and enjoy!

Why? Was the only question spinning in Marinette’s mind that evening. Why did Adrien Agreste kissed her the second time immediately after her request? She didn’t know

Because Adrien Agreste was Chat Noir, who loved Ladybug, was not the answer someone could offer her. But adding ‘who accidentally discovered her identity a couple of weeks ago’ would definitely help the case.

An accident was something you could expect. Because if you have a feline partner with an unexplainable love for rooftops and if you’re about to detransform into your civilian self, you should remember not only looking around, but also checking the upper levels.

Being an embodiment of bad luck, Chat Noir was actually surprised that he didn’t fall off that damned roof right on the spot.

It didn’t take so much to get used to the knowledge. After all, it was not hard to believe that his lady and his brave Princess were one the same. However, when he looked at it from Adrien’s point of view… They were nothing alike, judging by the character.

So Adrien decided to keep his secret to himself.

Of course, he was in panic when he heard Nino’s dare. He didn’t want to push himself on Marinette. He was afraid she would never forgive him. When he told Plagg about it, the kwami only chuckled, claiming that Adrien was the most oblivious person in the world.

For goodness sake, he couldn’t figure out what Plagg meant.

The kiss with her was as amazing as he imagined. She tasted something delicious, he couldn’t understand what exactly, she smelled like fresh baked treats, and she was an amazing kisser. She didn’t even protest, though he was afraid she would slap him for the invasion in privacy and hate till the ends of her days.

However, when Marinette blurted out that magical ‘kiss me better’, everything clicked. Adrien didn’t even hesitate before kissing her for the second time that day.

Now he was lying on the couch in his bedroom with the only thought: what’s next?

The next morning was hard for both of them. Neither could bring himself to look at the another.

Marinette was shy.

Adrien was angry.

Angry with himself, of course. He could never be angry with his lady without any reasons behind. It was unfair, he thought, for him to know her identity, and for her not to. It was unfair that while he loved both her sides, she still liked only Adrien.

She needed to know.

No, she would be angry that he didn’t tell her sooner.

But she needed to know.

But she would be angry. Ugh.

That’s it! The thought striked him. He’ll let her figure his identity as if by accident. Than it wouldn’t count. And he had to do it quickly. Adrien thought he couldn’t bear much time with things like that.

Think, he encouraged himself.

The opportunity presented itself during the lunch break. The teacher asked him to help her with a huge pile of books. Unfortunately, the amount of the said books limited his vision pretty much, so no wonder he bumped into the doorway. The books went flying to the floor with the papers on top of the pile. Adrien wasn’t careful enough, and one of the sheets left him a scratch on the cheek. It wasn’t too deep, but the angle was nearly ninety degrees, which made the scratch quite noticeable.

Only when his classmates showed deep concern, and Marinette especially – she examined the injury for a solid minute, helping to reduce its visibility, – he saw it as a dead giveaway of his identity.

Adrien couldn’t wait to start the patrol.

When Ladybug joined her partner, the scratch was the first thing that she asked about. He honestly told her it was just his luck to be cut like this by a sheet of paper and watched her face as she slowly made the connection.

Recognition. Connecting the dots. Disbelief. Surprise. Shock. The world turning upside down. Flashing memories. Denial.

Wait, what?

He needed to interfere.

“What’s up, my lady? What is so shocking about the cut? It’ll be okay in a couple of days, I purr-omise.”

“Ad-Chat. It’s nothing, let’s start patrolling.”

“But my lady, something is definitely bothering you!” He couldn’t believe she won’t tell him ! But, from the other hand, he didn’t, either.

“Chaton, it’s okay. Just some civilian stuff.”

“Maybe I could help you? Since you’ll be avoiding revealing details?”

Ladybug seemed to doubt. Finally, she gave in.

“Okay, so there’s a boy in my school I really like.” She paused. I hope it’s me, he thought. I hope I was not mistaken. “And yesterday he kissed me. Not because he wanted, it was just a stupid dare.” Oh thank god. Not that I doubted. Nope. “But the thing is, he kissed me once more later. Without any pressing matters. I hope it means he likes me, but I’m confused. Today he didn’t even speak to me…”

“But of course I like you, my lady,” blurted out Chat. “Never doubt that.”

She glanced at him with utter horror on her face.

“How long have you known?”

Only here he realized what he said. But there was no backing up now.

“Umm… Maybe for a couple of weeks?”

“And you never told me…” she whispered, launching herself away.

“My lady, wait!” Chat tried to stop her, but it was in vain.

He sat on the roof. What made her THIS upset, that she won’t even talk everything out, he wondered.

Realization dawned on him like a bucket of ice water.

“My lady… I called her my lady the entire time, and now she thinks I like her only because she is Ladybug…”

Chat Noir stood up.

“Marinette, I’ll prove you that I like the girl behind the mask on her own.”

Even if it was going to take quite an amount of efforts to reach the girl in denial. He’s a hero, after all, he’ll manage. Hopefully.

Miraculous x Snow White with the Red Hair|| Art by: ErizuChan After Adrien first kisses Marinette, she finds that something in her heart is different than before as she realizes her feelings aren’t platonic, though she still wants to protect him. (Sort of a Ladrien/Ladynoir scenario.) Snow White with the Red Hair is one of my favorite anime shows and I LOVE that someone did the artwork for this!

Another one of my favorites is by segldraws from their deviantart account I believe. The Nightmare Before Christmas has always been one of my favorite movies and I love the pairing of Marinette and Adrien for this.

Another favorite miraculous ladybug AU by Knight of Roses on Tumblr. Most of us 90’s kids, and even early 2000’s grew up watching Kim Possible, so seeing our favorite hero’s cosplayed and pictured as ANOTHER childhood hero really takes the cake.

A Miraculous Ladybug AU featuring Adrien and Marinette as Howl and Sophie from Howl’s Moving Castle. A classic Studio Ghibli film. I wasn’t able to find the artist to this though so please link that to me if you know the original artist. Major kudos to them for their style!

Anyone who knows me knows how much I love Miraculous Ladybug AND Voltron. This was done by inuy21 on Tumblr. They have a whole set of these comics and they’re hilarious.

A Sailor Moon Au done by Visual Kid. Who else grew up loving Sailor Moon? I know I did.

I believe this was done by ggungabyfish but I could be wrong. That is where I first found the images though. There are TONS of the Little Mermaid crossover for a Miraculous Ladybug Au and I’m loving it. The Little Mermaid was always my favorite Disney movie and seeing my favorite show apart of it just makes it better.

Another classic. Shugo Chara was one of my first anime shows and Ikuto was the first cat boy I loved. Sorry, Chat Noir! Still, seeing this classic was amazing and I definitely had to add it to the list.

An Anastasia Au by the birdinthemoon. I watched this movie on repeat as a child. Getting to see it as an Miraculous Ladybug Au just makes it even better! There are several versions online for it but this was my favorite. I love Mari’s dress!

This Au by miss-cigarettes is a CLASSIC. The Princess Bride is a well loved classic and the artwork for this is just beautiful.

This was posted(not sure if it’s the original artist though) on Tumblr by babyomochiichan. Anytime I tried to post the link it kept failing. But still, this Thumbalina Au is adorable. Little side note, that was my nickname throughout Elementary and Junior High.

And finally, the demon Au for Miraculous Ladybug. I’m not sure who started this trend but it quickly caught on. I tried to reverse search the image and everything but couldn’t find the artist. They signed it in the corner but I couldn’t zoom in enough(this isn’t CSI).

Miraculous Ladybug Fanfiction: My Little Princess

Who doesn’t love Miraculous Ladybug fanfiction? I know I do!!! I already posted this on fanfiction dot net but wanted to share this with my blog readers who may or may not have had the chance to read this one yet. Just a short fluff piece where Marinette is turned into a kid and Chat Noir has to take care of her. And of course, it’s a reveal because I’m still waiting patiently for it to actually happen!

ENJOY! Miraculous Ladybug Fanfiction

Chat Noir sighed unbelievably at the small figure in front of him.

Dark blue hair in pigtails, curling softly at the ends. Large, deep bluebell eyes. Thick long lashes. Small, button nose. Round and pink cheeks. And an adorable pout on her lips.

Ladybug, no MARINETTE stared up at him, rubbing her eye as she yawned.

He blinked. How? Was this for real?

“My Lady…?” Small hands made a flailing movement and the small girl puffed her cheeks. Adrien had to resist the impulse to squeal. She was too cute!

The small child reached out to the superhero with outstretched arms. “Kitty!”

He could facepalm. Of COURSE, she didn’t know it was him, Adrien. He still was his Superhero alter-ego, Chat Noir. During the Akuma attack, an older child who recently got a new baby sister and decided SHE wanted to stay the baby had started throwing her “Weapons”, which were really just rattles and one had struck Ladybug. Only, it wasn’t Ladybug anymore. She was now barely 4 feet tall and the childish figure of Marinette was in her place.

There were too many emotions. Overjoyed that he FINALLY knew who his Lady was and frustration that he had been so blind. But now he had to take care of her and somehow find a way to cleanse the Akuma before everything got even worse. Thankfully, after Marinette was hit, the Akuma had disappeared too so everything was quiet. He just needed to find a way to wake her up and then cleanse the little butterfly.

He smiled when Marinette wrapped her chubby arms around his neck. She may be in the body of a child, but she was still his Lady…his PRINCESS.

“Hello, princess.” He purred.

Marinette clapped and giggled. “Kitty!”

God, she was cute.

He was surprised when out of nowhere Marinette let out a loud wail. “What? What’s wrong?” He tried to see but there was nothing obviously wrong…aside from the being a child thing again. “What’s wrong, princess? What can I do?”

She started squirming more, large tears pooling in her eyes.

“Please, Princess. How can I help?”

Marinette continued to wail louder, pulling at her clothes that were still covered in dirt.

“Wait…are you wanting to change your clothes? Do you need a bath?”

“Bath?” She asked puzzledly.

Adrien gulped nervously. “Um…”

“Bath!” Marinette was giggling and squealing now, almost jerking herself out of his arms.

Crap. With a sigh of defeat, he closed his eyes. He had no other choice now but to take her to his home and give her the bath. Maybe then the Akuma’s spell would have worn off and they could defeat the Akuma.

Adrien was going to faint. He had never given someone a bath before and this was his Lady…Marinette! He stared intently at her hair, making sure it was shampooed very nicely while she squirmed. Finally, he lifted her out and put one of his white t-shirts over her. She wiggled her body and Adrien couldn’t help but laugh,

“Arms?” Marinette asked. Adrien blinked and then smiled, realizing she didn’t know where to put her arms. He helped her put her arms through the correct holes and was rewarded with a beaming smile.

“Let’s dry your hair now.” He said gently. Her chin was resting on his lap, both hands cupping her hand. He was combing her hair now and trying to figure out to put the dark hair into the pigtails she so favored.

Marinette let out a small sigh of content but her eyes soon popped open soon and she bounded over to Adrien’s bed.

“Princess…wait!”

He tried to grab her but she was too fast.

Marinette laughed again and Adrien groaned. He needed to find out how to get her back to normal as soon as possible. The little one was jumping now, endless energy just seemed to roll off of her.

“Come on now, Marinette!” Adrien pleaded, making a grab for the little one.

She giggled even more.

He groaned. It was going to be a long day.

A light was coming through and Adrien had to fight to not open his eyes. Somehow he had fallen asleep after Marinette had finally passed out on his bed and he had released his transformation. Plagg had been exhausted as he was, working double time while Marinette was still awake. Keeping the transformation on for that long wasn’t good, even without using his cataclysm. His arms were wrapped around one of his pillows and he tugged it closer.

So soft.

And it smelled so good

His hands went further down and he felt…skin? Still half-asleep, he rubbed his hand along it. But his eyes shot open when he found a curve. And he squeezed it.

Looking down, he was greeted by a smooth and pale leg that was crossed above his hip bone.

Pressed firmly against him, with nothing but his t-shirt from the night before…was Marinette. A fully-grown back to normal Marinette.

She was still asleep but she couldn’t help but stare. Oh, it was her butt he was squeezing earlier. He needed to move, to get away from the seductive sleeping woman from him.

Trying not to make any noise, he slipped off the bed. He brought the blankets up to Marinette’s shoulders, covering her completely.

He was still amazed that this was Marinette. The woman he had been in love with for so many years. His shy and sweet classmate was also his fiercely strong and brave Lady…she was everything he ever wanted and needed.

Now he just needed to tell her.

THE NEXT DAY

“C-chat? What happened?”

Shit. “I’m sorry, princess! I’ve only been trying to help!”

She tilted her head. ” “Why am I at Adrien Agrestes’s house?”

“You don’t remember anything?” He questioned, feeling his heart drop. She shook her head. “We were fighting an Akuma and you got turned into a little child.”

Her eyes went wide. She was staring at his face, awaiting answers.

“B-but…” She stammered.

He sighed. “You are the most frustrating person I know. Why didn’t you tell me who you were Princess? I wouldn’t have loved you any less. In fact, I just love you more.”

Marinette’s head dropped. He almost had to strain to hear the quiet words she tried to speak.

“Wait…what?” He asked the ears atop of his head leaning forward.

She huffed, finally looking back up at him. “I said I couldn’t tell you for several reasons. The first was HawkMoth could use our civilian identities to go after us and hurt our family and friends.” She worried her bottom lip. “And you’re so in love with Ladybug, I couldn’t imagine letting you down with who I really am when I can’t even get the guy of my dreams to even look my way.”

“Guy of your dreams?” A knife would have hurt less in his heart.

Marinette nodded, hugging her knees closer to her chest, forming a protective bubble between them which Adrien hated. He sat down next to her, placing a gloved hand on her shoulder.

“His name is Adrien Agreste.” His heart just dropped again. He was pretty sure his mouth dropped open as well but Marinette seemed oblivious to the rising excitement the feline was going through. “I’ve been in love with him since I first met him. Well, not at FIRST exactly…I actually hated him then because I thought he was just like Chloe but then he gave me his umbrella and I fell in love.”

Umbrella? Adrien vaguely remembered hanging his umbrella to Marinette in an effort to be kinder to his classmate. Had she been in love with him since THEN?

Marinette was still talking and Adrien quickly shook the thoughts out of his head. His PRINCESS was talking.

“Chat?” Marinette titled her head. “Are you okay? You look like you saw a ghost.”

He couldn’t help but let a small chuckle escape his lips. “Marinette.” He moved his hand to her cheek. “Don’t you remember whose house you’re in?”

“Well yeah. Which was my other question. Why again, are we in Adrien’s house?”

He looked at her, a Cheshire grin firmly on his face. He watched her look at him with confusion her face until the dots connected.

“N-no. N-n-n-n-n-no.” She shook her head furiously. “You…you CAN”T…there’s no…”

He chuckled again. “Good to see your stutter hasn’t changed in my presence.” And with that, he released his transformation until just Adrien Agreste and not Chat Noir was sitting next to Marinette, a hand still cupping her cheek.

It was her turn for her mouth to drop open.

His smile dropped. “Wait. Are you upset that it’s me? Would you rather I was just Adrien and not Chat Noir?”

“What?” Marinette flipped over to her knees and stared at him directly. “Why would you think that? Are you crazy silly minou? I’m so HAPPY it’s both of you!”

“What? Really? Because that would pawstively clawsome!”

She nodded firmly, laughing. “Of course.”

He couldn’t help but be overcome with joy again. She loved BOTH sides of him. It seemed like he always felt that way whether in his Lady or his Princess’s presence. He wrapped her quickly in his arms, hugging her to his chest and burrowing his nose in her hair. The scent of vanilla and cinnamon buns filled his nostrils and he breathed in deeper to get his fill.

“You have no idea how happy that makes me, Princess.” He whispered.

“I’m glad.” She whispered back just as softly. Both sat there, enveloped in the other’s arms, enjoying the moment.

“So,” Adrien said, pulling away from their hug but still keeping her close. “Want to make more kids?”

The pillow she threw at him was deserved but the smile she gave made everything worth it. Wherever they went, they would be together…Adrien was sure of it. He wasn’t going to let Marinette leave his side. Chat Noir and Ladybug were a team and so was him and Marinette.

It couldn’t get any better than this.

Luka x Adrien: Who is Better for Marinette?

*Spoilers for New Miraculous Ladybug Episode 12*

With this past episode, “Captain Hardrock”, we were finally introduced to Luka Couffaine. And the reactions from fans went crazy on Facebook and Twitter. Some people jumped ship and went straight to Team Luka, while others stayed loyal to team Adrien. Others even started a pairing for just Adrien and Luka…total bromance. While others simply couldn’t decide.

If you have seen the episode, who do you think is better for Marinette?

We all know how desperately in love Marinette is with Adrien. But after watching this episode, it was odd and even a bit relieving to see her get nervous and stammer around someone else that isn’t our precious cinnamon roll child.

Finally watched Captain Hardrock, and this is my review: I’m a little down,but it was a good episode,though I was intent on seeing a jealous Adrien,there was character development, with Marinette’s straying eyes, and Gabriel’s cactus heart lessening its thorns,just a tiny bit. I am an eternal Adrinette shipper,though I have to admit,Luka is somehow who we want Adrien to be like—Blatantly appreciating Marinette for Marinette,not as Ladybug. He makes her feel admired for her civilian self without being stuck on her alter ego. Even Alya doesn’t harbor disapproval for her best friend’s confused emotions. Tsk.Tsk.Tsk,our dear Adrien. I completely agreed with her. When Luka saw Ladybug, his first reaction wasn’t to gush over her but to ASK about MARINETTE.

Who is Better For Marinette?

Not to mention, Luka himself is a great character. I like how sweet and kind he is. He sees Marinette as herself and I’m hoping that he’ll stay in the series. Which reminds me that we haven’t seen Lila again, or Kagami. I’m wondering when everyone will come back. Or if they even will. Maybe there will be some type of final showdown and everyone will appear for that episode arc.

But the episode itself showed some interesting points. We did get to see a softer side to Gabriel Agreste, which definitely makes me a little concerned. While I’m happy he’s being nicer, he IS still Hawkmoth and is going to eventually hurt his son, intentionally or not.

Who is the Winner?

I guess we’ll have to wait for further episodes to see where this goes. While we know that Adrien and Marinette are meant for each other, and will end up together, it’s interesting to see where this will go. I’m hoping that this will help Adrien see more of who Marinette is as a person and not just her Ladybug persona.

Well, on the bright side, we did get to see Nino again! He had been strangely absent during the last few episodes. Which was odd for someone who is supposed to be Adrien’s best friend.

The next episode, ep.13, is Zombizou, which, coincidentally, will be on April 13. Friday the 13th. Is this a sign that something bad will happen?? Because of Zombizou=Zombie+Kiss. Miss Caline Bustier(we finally know her first name!) will be akumitized then.

Wouldn’t you love to wear the outfit that you see Marinette Dupain Cheng and Adrien Agreste wear? Marinette is already a budding fashion designer and Adrien’s a top-rated model. The hardest part of both their outfits is finding ones that are NOT kid sizes. Luckily, I’ve found a few pretty good ones that fit us older fans. AND they don’t break the bank!

Sometimes when we’re ~~obsessed~~ in love with one of our favorite shows, we want to either do a cosplay of them or simply wear their style. Which is basically the same thing. So I made an article so that ANYONE can dress like your favorite characters, for a relatively cheap price

Adrien’s

Now Adrien’s outfit is pretty simple. Relaxed jeans, orange sneakers (converse) with a black shirt with stripes as well as a white, collared over-shirt.

Chat Noir’s is a simple black catsuit(pun intended) with a gold bell, black boots and mask. When you’re looking through sizes, check to see if they’re in Asian, USA or European sizes. This makes a WORLD of differences. For instance, Asian sizes tend to be smaller. So if you wear a medium in the USA, you might wear a Large or XL in Asian size.

Marinette’s Outfit

Now Marinette’s is still simple but was a little harder to replicate. She has on pink capris, pink ballet flats with a white shirt, and a black blazer. The blazer is white on the inside with little pink dots and she has a flower emblem on her shirt.

And we can’t forget Ladybug’s iconic red and black suit either! Complete with a matching mask and her yo-yo, it makes anyone into Paris’s favorite superhero.

Tips:
1. Wig: It will probably be too long when you receive it. Cut off a few inches for a more accurate length. It’s always better to get a longer wig that a shorter wig if you are unsure of the length. Use the ribbons and elastic ponytail holders to make ponytails. It is recommended to use elastics first, then tie the ribbons.
2. Suit: Use the bottom of a glass, a circular stamp, or an object with a flat, circular bottom to paint the spots on all over the suit. This will save a lot of time and worry you would have when using a paintbrush. Use a paintbrush to paint the black neckline.
3. Mask and Yoyo: Use a thin paintbrush to dab spots on.
4. What to do for shoes?: There are a few options. You could wear red flats, invisible sandals, or glue soles to the feet of the suit. The last option can be tedious.
5. Other notes: Instead of a yoyo, you can also look for a circular handbag to paint red and spots on. This way, you can also keep your belongings at your side.

Tips:
1. Wig: Mika from Seraph of the End anime’s wig is a good choice/style for Cat Noir. It may come unstyled, so picking up some hair glue or styling products may be necessary.
2. Shoes: Any black boots would work. These were actually made for Zack from Angels of Death and still work just fine!
3. Staff/Spraypaint: There is not a staff listed because many options are pricey online. A cheap and easy way to make a staff is below:
  1. Go to a hardware store.
  2. Go to the Plumbing section.
  3. Look for PVC pipe. Pick a pipe that is 1″ or more in width.
  4. After purchasing the PVC and taking it home, use the spray paint (usually 2-3 coats) to cover the “staff”.
  5. Paint the paw print in the middle of the staff.
  6. Done!

Who is Luka Couffaine? Miraculous Ladybug Characters
Luka Couffaine…who is he? There have been several rumors in the MLB fandom going around and fans everywhere are wondering just who the heck he is. Will he be a minor character? Kagami appeared earlier but hasn’t made a reappearance afterwards. Not to mention, there’s been little sighting of Nino as well…

Here are the facts for Luka…

According to Feri González, Luka is handsome, and people “are going to fall in love with him.”
- She also noted that both Luka and Kagami are “charming, rounded characters” who are not limited to roles as alternate love interests.
- He is Juleka’s older brother and a new student who attracts Marinette
- Luka’s appearance is “a mix between slightly goth and slightly punk.”
- He has black hair with dyed blue tips at the ends and has piercings. His attire includes a distressed white shirt, jacket, and ripped jeans. He also wears a multitude of wristbands and his finger nails are painted black.
Now onto the Luka Fan Theories!

Now, before when Team Astruc mentioned Kagami they just said she was a rival. Fans immediately jumped to her being a LOVE rival when it turned out to just be about fencing. Now when they say that Luka is a new student who ATTRACTS Marinette, I immediately think romantically as well.

But it could just be that he attracts her in a way such as an akumitized victim or just as a friend. Whatever he turns out to be, I’m just hoping it will be the nudge closer for our cinnamon roll Adrien to finally freaking open his eyes and see Marinette as more than “just a friend.”

Master Fu is Marinette’s Grandfather?!

Master Fu is Marinette’s Grandfather?!

*With Season 3, Master Fu is NOT actually Marinette’s Grandfather. This is pretty much a parody that used to be theory before season 3 came out. But it was a fun theory to begin*

With as much as I love this fandom, I HAD to make an article soon for all my beloved fan theories. I’m completely obsessed with this fandom and seriously cannot get enough of it. As dedicated fans, we all love some crazy good theories. There’s speculation behind certain moments of what has happened or what’s going to come. I mean just look at the Harry Potter fandom. I’m a serious HP nerd and will fight anyone over this, but some major theorists stated that Dumbledore was gay(I totally believe this and just love him more) and also that he was the REAL villain of the story.

As much as I would love to go ahead and start a whole article about why he ISN’T, this one is for My Lady and My Precious Cinnamon Roll.

Since falling headfirst and letting my soul become consumed by this fandom, I started thinking more of the world around it. We could just be content with the cute and heart-warming story of a French-Korean animated show that has lots of laughs and one of the world’s most frustrating love squares…but…no.

See, I think there’s more to this world than meets the eye. When Season 2 was first announced(but not released) with a panel at Comic-Con, several articles popped up connecting Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir to other universes and worlds…such as the Marvel Universe. According to Thomas Astruc, “[The Quantic Universe] is the extended universe in which live Ladybug and Cat Noir. Ladybug is to Quantic Universe what Spider-Man is to the Marvel-verse or Batman to the DC-verse. Quantic Universe is filled with super-heroes in all countries, alien races, magic… Ladybug is just a tiny part of it. Previously, according to Astruc, it was also possible that Félix, the first version of Cat Noir before Adrien, still existed in some way there. However, Astruc later stated that Félix will never appear.

The Quantic Kids was an old, unused concept of Ladybug and Cat Noir (featuring Félix as Cat Noir, rather than Adrien) being members of a superhero team, as requested by a producer. It failed to help sell the concept of Ladybug to broadcasters, which resulted in Ladybug and Cat Noir remaining as a duo.

As a proud nerd, I loved this and lapped it up. But there was one fan theory that I thought of and it had me thinking…

Master Fu…

Now, we know that Master Fu holds a Miraculous(Wayzz) and is a cute little turtle kwami, but I think there’s a little more to it than that. See…I have this theory that Master Fu…is actually Marinette’s Grandfather. Well, her great-great-great-grandfather considering he’s 186 years old.

I know, right? I can hear alarms going off in your heads already as I type this! But bear with me one moment. I think it explains so much that Marinette’s parents don’t recognize(aka acknowledge) that their daughter is Ladybug. Why? Because they already know. We know there’s a “magic” theory for why Adrien and Marinette don’t recognize each other in their hero outfits, but Marinette’s family doesn’t have that excuse. They know her too well AND her voice.

It already bugs the crap out of me that Adrien can’t tell that Marinette is Ladybug. They LOOK and SOUND the same! The only thing I can think of is that since he changes his hair and eyes during transformation, he probably suspects that Ladybug does as well. He probably thinks that Marinette is a fan which is why she wears her hair in the same style as Ladybug. Even though the more obvious reason is that THEY’RE THE SAME FREAKING PERSON!

But our precious cinnamon roll isn’t always the best at noticing the obvious…like his Father being Hawkmoth but that’s a whole other can of crushing worms that hurts my soul. When Adrien finds out, it’s going to kill me. My poor child! He’s already in a broken and lonely home…

(Insert break for major fangirl crying and needing to calm down)

Back to the theory about Master Fu…

My theory is that Mariette’s mom already knows about the miraculous’s and is only pretending to not know to help her daughter grow more into the Ladybug that Paris needs at the moment. She probably figures that Marinette will tell her when she’s ready. More than that, it’s set in PARIS. WHY would the only CHINESE people on the show be her mother and Master Fu?

BECAUSE THEY’RE RELATED.

It just makes sense. I know it’s just a theory but it’s a major head-canon and I believe it 100%. What do ya’ll think? I would love to hear your opinions in the comments below!

Why Miraculous Ladybug Helped Me Through Depression

If you haven’t heard of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir, you have been living under a rock, my dear friends. When it’s first mentioned. you’ll usually hear that it’s a cute French Animation but before its debut in France, it actually aired first in South Korea on September 1st of 2015. Well, it’s 2017 now and the fandom has EXPLODED.

One thing I love about Miraculous is how, even as a “cartoon”, it still shows real issues. It’s not just fluff and unicorns butts. Our female heroine, Marinette Dupain-Cheng is someone that most of us can relate to. She’s awkward and clumsy but fiercely loyal to her friends and family. She stands up for what she believes in right and doesn’t let bullies(i.e Chloe Bourgeois) push her around. And our male hero, Adrien Agreste isn’t just some spoiled rich kid. He’s isolated from everyone, almost kept from even going to school by his Father, Gabriel Agreste (aka…Hawkmoth and the main villain so far of this story).

Both of our young heroes have to face issues that most shows nowadays try to avoid. Adrien has lost his Mother…she’s been missing since the start. It’s become a theory of who his Mother is, usually the Peacock Miraculous. Speculation has been around but Thomas Astruc and Zag Heroes haven’t confirmed or denied our theories.

What they have given us though…is hope. Miraculous gives us a chance to believe that we’re more than we think.

Let me explain. I’m level 25 and have always dealt with depression and anxiety for as long as I can remember. It’s easy to let the darkness get to you, to let yourself become…akumitized for a reference there. Our emotions of fear and worry usually creep up on us and turn us into someone we might not recognize.

But Ladybug and Chat Noir shows us that there’s a way to fight it…and a way to win. I could just be reading too much into this show but I don’t think so. It’s how you perceive it anyway. And I choose to believe that this show was intended to help others, like myself, fight off our akumas and be the heroes of our own lives.

Gosh, that was cheesy. I’m gonna need some bread.

Okay, okay, I’m done now. Mostly. But in all seriousness, I love how this show has made me feel. How much it has helped me through my daily battles with depression and anxiety. It’s become a comfort to me and I hope I never stop fangirling over it or cosplaying all the characters. It’s super exciting to see everything that has come from this world that has been created. We now know that Ladybug and Chat Noir could have more powers than shown and even be in a whole other universe.

It’s gotten to the point, that just going outside by myself causes a panic attack to the point that I don’t even leave my room most days other than bathroom breaks. I keep snacks and a huge water bottle in my room and I’ll scurry like a little field mouse back to the pantry to grab food.

Depression is different for everyone. I’m already an HSP(Highly Sensitive Person) and being diagnosed with mild agoraphobia, social and generalized anxiety disorder is not easy. While I’m hiding in my room, feeling worthless and unlovable, I’ll get a notification that there is a new episode or a new fanfiction written about my favorite fandom…Miraculous Ladybug. And suddenly, I’m not feeling nauseated. The pit of dread in my stomach is gone, and I can breathe again.

The episode that I’m watching causes me to laugh…to smile the first genuine smile that I’ve had that day.

Marichat, Ladynoir, Adrienette and Ladrien: Who is your OTP?

“OTP: Shipping anyone, anytime.”

You should never underestimate a fangirl. We’re lurking in every corner of the Earth and then some. Like Pennywise the clown, we’ll find the smallest ounce of fear and then feed on it if we feel attacked. Or just for the Lol’s. Okay, maybe not that far, but we are pretty serious when it comes to us and our OTP. For those of you who don’t know what OTP means, it stands for One True Pair and it’s generally a term for a pairing or a couple that a person prefers more than the other.

While this article is about Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir, I thought I’d make a point by using the anime, Inuyasha. There’s was a previous article about it here but it didn’t go anywhere near the extent of this blog post. OTP’s in Inuyasha are generally Inuyasha and Kagome, Inuyasha and Kikyou, Kagome and Kouga, Kouga and Ayame, and Sango and Miroku.

There are tons of others but those are just a few on the top of my head. Now, when Rumiko Takashi wrote the manga, in the beginning, it showed more of a deep friendship than a relationship. As the tv series was progressed and movies were made, the anime showed more of the romantic side of Inuyasha and Kagome, causing fans to fall madly in love with the hanyou and choose their OTP. Nothing was canon until the final acts(with exception of Sango and Miroku).

Now onto Ladybug and Chat Noir!

Now, with Ladybug and Chat Noir there are some definite headcanons there. It’s almost comical and a little frightening to see which side people choose to be on with their OTP in one of the world’s most frustrating love squares of all time.

I’ll start with Ladrien. It tends to have a smaller following, though not as small as the following of shippers that pair Marinette/Ladybug with ANYONE other Adrien/Chat Noir.

Then, with a slightly larger following is Adrienette.

The third highest would be LadyNoir which are both superheroes together.

And of course, the highest following is MariChat. Seriously if you’re reading fan fiction of any kind, most of the pairings tend to be about Marinette and Chat Noir. My theory about this is that fanfiction writers tend to be more female than male, and this means they see themselves as Marinette. Which is relatable because who doesn’t relate to our lovable, clumsy Parisian Superhero?

I find myself in the Marichat pairing. They are my OTP, even though they are indeed the same freaking people as Ladybug and Adrien. I just want my precious cinnamon roll children to be HAPPY. And together.

*Mild Spoilers for Season 2*

In the new season of Ladybug and Chat Noir, we met a new character named Kagami who Adrien actually seemed to take an interest in. We had been warned by Thomas Astruc that there would be two new love interests appearing. Luka, Juleka’s brother is also going to be a part of this little love triad and it’s making fans everywhere, myself included, only scream in frustration.

Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir have exploded in the fandom world. With the addition of the newest “love interests”, fans everywhere are wondering who will be canon. For those non-fangirls, canon means that the writer confirmed a scene in the show or manga/comic, while headcanon’s are what fans believe.

It has been a while since I let a show completely take over my soul. I mean, I’m OBSESSED with this show and seriously can’t get enough. I’ve dove headfirst into this world, learning the origins, buying all the merch I can get my fangirling hands-on, and cosplaying all the characters. A friend and I were actually talking about doing a Hawkmoth cosplay as well and I can’t wait to try it out!
