Both protagonists live a fairly normal life until they unlock something unnatural in themselves. Both series have characters that are in a group that focuses on keeping the world safe. Both have supernatural themes, relatable characters, and amazing action scenes.
Silent, apathetic, yet mischievous, 14-year-old Miharu Rokujou has a forbidden ninja art called the Shinrabanshou inside him, a skill that gives him the ability to grant wishes. With many ninja clans desiring his ability. Miharu will have to face the underground ninja world, with the help of his fellow ninja club members.
Similarity
Similar to Naruto, Nabari no Ou’s protagonist also has immense, possibly dark power hidden inside and is also seen as worthless at the beginning. Both series deal with themes of loneliness, conflict, and bonds created between characters.
The story follows Shichika Yasuri, a swordsman that uses his own body like a blade, and his companion the strategist Togame, who has been ordered by the shogunate to retrieve 12 unique swords, and Shinchika smitten by her, helps her on her dangerous mission.
Similarity
Katanagatari’s similarities to Naruto are in its combat and over-the-top battles. Both series also place a lot of emphasis on characters’ developmental growth, with characters becoming more relatable and loved with each interaction. Both series have great art, deep and absorbing plots.
11. Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac

Being an old series, most shounen anime have been heavily influenced by Knights of the Zodiac. We see both series protagonists as no good but slowly come to overcome their shortcomings and earn the respect of their world. Both series also have their characters using the power within them to do battle.
A 14-year-old delinquent Yuusuke Urameshi dies while saving a kid who was going to be run over. Now in the afterlife, Yusuke is a ghost with a mission, performing good deeds and becoming a spirit detective charged with investigating supernatural activities in the world at the behest of Botan, the pacifier-sucking judge of the dead to regain his life.
Similarity
Yu Yu Hakusho is another similar anime to Naruto, with its art style, the lovable main cast of characters, fearsome supernatural entities, beautiful fight scenes, themes of friendship, determination, and a well-done world-building.

Both series protagonists are similar, both being thought of as monsters and isolated by the common people. Despite that, both characters still try to save these people from the threats they face, easily making friends and allies because of their personalities. They also have similar goals of being the greatest of their kind.
The “God of High School” is a fierce competition held between Korean high school students to determine the best fighter among them. All styles of martial arts and weapons are allowed. The ultimate prize? The winner’s deepest desire will be granted, no matter the cost.

The God of Highschool like Naruto is a stylish shounen anime, with three main characters each with their backstory, a strong protagonist that doesn’t know his strength, an evil nemesis that’s always scheming, and like in Naruto, The God of Highschool is an anime like Naruto that keeps you at the edge of your seat with its fights, dialogue, and presentation of its world.

Both protagonists also fight to help others and don’t get me started on the bromance and rivalry. Both series also have a lovable, relatable, and supporting cast of characters that help the protagonist along.
6. Hunter x Hunter (2011)

Both series have unique use of powers, amazing world-building, lovable characters, and just the way it balances its more serious moments with lighthearted ones is great. Both series also have amazing visuals and a similar sense of adventure, with characters moving from one location to another.
5. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba

Both series have a supernatural theme and both have elite groups that work in the shadows. Both also have great OSTs, characters, world-building, and stories.

Both series have a coming-of-age theme, with characters trying to become better. And though both have some amazing action, both still have heartwarming tear-jerking wholesome moments. Both protagonists are sacrificed at a young age for the betterment of others. Everyone sees both series protagonists as no good, but are quite capable. Both also see their main character befriending an otherworldly being.

Both series have a lot to offer from supernatural powers, amazing fights scenes, well-developed and lovable characters, and voyages to new and exciting places. Both series have a similar vibe that just keeps you invested in seeing where the characters’ stories end.

Similarity
Both series are shounen, having battles that are more tactically focused, with both being able to keep the audience on the edge of their seats, and having cool characters with ridiculous but creative powers.

Two orphan children, Asta and Yuno are left as babies near the doorstep of a church on the outside border of the Clover Kingdom. We watch him go from laughingstock to the literal savior of the kingdom.
Similarity
Black Clover, like Naruto, has a similar fantasy world full of magic or chakra. Both protagonists have a similar physical build, with both series characters being in a sort of military unit made to protect the people. Both series have themes of rivalry between friends, fan service, comedy, action, and surprisingly deep emotional moments.

So what is Kengan Ashura? If you are just hearing about it for the first time and what’s it about?
Kengan Ashura was originally a web manga, the anime was produced by Larx Entertainment, airing in the Summer 2019 and has 24 episodes has of the present.
They are all deadly….. Except for Koazuo Yamashita, he’s harmless
Summarization
Business deals are usually made through meetings and contracts; but in the world of Kengan Ashura, businesses resort to other means to make their decisions: by hiring gladiators. Yabako Sandrovich’s Kengan Ashura depicts a world brimming with action, violence, and martial arts—one where powerful gladiators have fought in grand arenas since the Edo Period to settle the disputes of wealthy businesses and merchants.
Ouma Tokita, who is nicknamed “The Ashura,” is a fighter trying to prove himself as the strongest. Hideki Nogi, a member of the Nogi Group, hires Ouma to fight for him and makes Kazuo Yamashita, an average middle-aged man, his manager. The duo is thrown into fights facilitated by the Kengan Association. Their journey will be full of ruthless battles with other fighters aiming for the same goal. Do they have what it takes to be the best? –MAL
What did I think?
First of all for all those reading this please please please try and look past this, but………. Kengan Ashura is in CGI.
Looking at you Berserk 2016
Kengan Ashura is honestly the Berserk 2016 we wanted, the CGI honestly fits perfectly with the series, excelling over traditional 2D animation fight scenes. The movement doesn’t feel clunky at all but very fluid especially during the fights. But that might be thanks to the choreography that was very well done. It felt true to the source material.
Ouma Tokita and Jun Sekibayashi
Also, the way fighters backstories and explanatory moments were captured in a series of still shots was amazing.
Kengan Ashura is an action and martial arts anime and it’s true to that in every aspect, the story was pretty straightforward, the protagonist goals and other characters goals are pretty much explained at the beginning so there are no plot twists or anything like that story-wise and that is honestly refreshing.
The stories are mostly focused on the one-on-one fights which are always interesting to watch. If there is any time there is actually a plot twist element to the story it in the fights, you really sometimes can’t tell who’s going to win or you can guess completely wrong.
The characters were interesting, wacky or outright weird and they were likeable but they didn’t have much depth to them.
The sound detail was also pretty good and really highlights the series. The sound effects in particular never felt dull or out of place, the sounds for the punching and kicking felt natural as well.
Every fighter had a theme song which added a level of excitement or intrigue has they entered the match. And it really seemed to flesh them out more. The soundtrack, music and voice acting was good.
Kengan Ashura captures the purity of unarmed combat, showing it’s not all about power-ups, charging up or firing beams of light. They let their fists and ability to endure be the spotlight of the series.
Favourite moment?
For favourite moments I have two the fight scenes between:
Ouma Tokita and Jun Sekibayashi
Their fight was epic, the blows, kicks, Ouma getting suplexed two or three times. Jun really pushed Ouma to the wall and this was the first time in season one, Ouma was not so calm and collected.
Ouma Tokita and Raian Kure
This fight was the season finale fight of season two and it had me on the edge of my seat. They were both using their secret techniques Advance and Removal, so it was more than just the competition in front of them but a competition to see which technique was better.
Least favourite moment?
Seeing the type of toxic relationship Seishu Akoya and Shunka Hiyama have. Not giving to much away but I think Shunka Hiyama is selling herself short.
Favourite character?
Raian Kure
He’s wild, free, overconfident in his abilities and has a sadistic grin always on his face. I just love his crazy fighting spirit, he is like a combination of Zaraki Kenpachi and the Joker. He’s a character that knows what he wants and goes for it.
Least favourite character?
Seishu Akoya
Cause like I said he’s toxic and has a warped sense of right and wrong. He’s the worst so far if you ask me.
Would you watch more?
Yes!!! Kengan Ashura was enjoyable and nowhere bad as people make it out to be. You might need to get used to the CGI form but apart from that, it’s an anime’s that’s easy to follow with incredible fighting scenes and amazing martial arts.

When is Kengan Ashura Season 3 Release Date?
Though the release of Season 3 of Kengan Ashura is not fully certain yet. According to findings, we should get a Season 3 of Kengan Ashura on Netflix maybe this 2020, probably around June to July 2020.

I have been made a fan of Trigger and I honestly look forward to whatever future creative work they release.
24. Hunter x Hunter (2011) (HxH 2011)

Hunter x Hunter is a well-animated and thought-out anime with plenty of action, with highly anticipated battles.
Hunter x Hunter is set in a world where Hunters exist to perform all manner of dangerous tasks like capturing criminals and bravely searching for lost treasures in uncharted territories. Twelve-year-old Gon Freecss is determined to become the best Hunter possible in hopes of finding his father, who was a Hunter himself and had long ago abandoned his young son. However, Gon soon realizes the path to achieving his goals is far more challenging than he could have ever imagined.
Along the way to becoming an official Hunter, Gon befriends the lively doctor-in-training Leorio, vengeful Kurapika, and rebellious ex-assassin Killua. To attain their own goals and desires, together the four of them take the Hunter Exam, notorious for its low success rate and high probability of death. Throughout their journey, Gon and his friends embark on an adventure that puts them through many hardships and struggles. They will meet a plethora of monsters, creatures, and characters—all while learning what being a Hunter truly means –MAL
Hunter x Hunter is an amazing action anime with a fantastic story, excellent characters with deep having their own goals and desires some simple while others complex. It’s one of those rear unicorns in the action genre that those a lot of things well. You will be glad you watched it.
23. One Punch Man

One Punch Man is the story of Satima, a hero who is a hero just for fun and the strongest man in his universe that can defeat any opponent with a single punch. Based on Yusuke Murata’s manga remake of ONE’s original webcomic.
The seemingly ordinary and unimpressive Saitama has a rather unique hobby: being a hero. In order to pursue his childhood dream, he trained relentlessly for three years—and lost all of his hair in the process. Now, Saitama is incredibly powerful, so much so that no enemy is able to defeat him in battle. In fact, all it takes to defeat evildoers with just one punch has led to an unexpected problem—he is no longer able to enjoy the thrill of battling and has become quite bored.
This all changes with the arrival of Genos, a 19-year-old cyborg, who wishes to be Saitama’s disciple after seeing what he is capable of. Genos proposes that the two join the Hero Association in order to become certified heroes that will be recognized for their positive contributions to society, and Saitama, shocked that no one knows who he is, quickly agrees. And thus begins the story of One Punch Man, an action-comedy that follows an eccentric individual who longs to fight strong enemies that can hopefully give him the excitement he once felt and just maybe, he’ll become popular in the process –MAL
One Punch Man is quite different from other action anime, as rather than watch our protagonist struggle to become stronger, our hero has already reached his goals.
The series takes this plot and shows us the emptiness that follows achieving a lifelong goal. Showing us the journey to one’s goal is more fulfilling than actually reaching our goal.
22. Terra Fromer (Terraformars)

Terra Formars is a show that is short, violent, and action anime that is simple to understand.
During the 21st century, humanity attempted to colonize Mars by sending two species which could endure the harsh environment of the planet to terraform it—algae and cockroaches. However, they did not anticipate the species’ remarkable ability to adapt. Now in the 26th century, a lethal disease known as the Alien Engine Virus has arrived on Earth, and the cure is suspected to be found only on Mars. The problem is, Mars in the present is overrun by creatures known as “Terraformars,” incredibly powerful and intelligent humanoid cockroaches that mutated from those originally sent to the planet.
The Annex I team, consisting of a hundred men and women genetically enhanced with characteristics of powerful organisms from earth, has been sent to Mars on a mission to find the cause of the Alien Engine Virus and to help cure humanity—signalling the start of the crew’s fight for survival –MAL
Terra Formars is an action sci-fi horror anime that deals with humanity fighting insects much like the films and series “Starship Troopers”. Plot-wise it’s not the best cause they try to add so much into it, but for action, it is pretty good.
21. Katekyo Hitman Reborn! (Reborn!)

Katekyo Hitman Reborn is a well-made anime for its comedy and action.
There is no putting it lightly—Tsunayoshi Sawada is just no good. He is clumsy, talentless, and desperately in love with the school idol Kyouko Sasagawa, a girl so completely out of his league. Dubbed “Loser Tsuna” by his classmates, he seems to be the very personification of failure in the guise of a middle-schooler.
Tsuna’s boring life takes an extraordinary twist when he encounters the mysterious Reborn, who happens to be a hitman… and shockingly, a baby! Sent from the strongest Mafia family in Italy, Reborn is assigned the daunting mission of preparing the dull middle schooler to succeed the ninth boss of the notorious Vongola family, who is on the brink of retirement. The dull boy has a gruelling road ahead, but with the help of his new criminal affiliates and his peculiar home tutor, perhaps even Loser Tsuna can achieve greatness –MAL
Katekyo Hitman Reborn’s plot builds up slowly, with the first 20 episodes comedy-heavy. We will watch Tsuna change from being a clumsy weakling, to slowly growing up and becoming more dependable. It’s a show that will keep you at the edge of your seat.
20. Kuro no Keiyakusha (Darker than Black)

Darker than Black is an anime that takes you on a journey with unique characters and an unusual style of storytelling.
It has been 10 years since Heaven’s Gate appeared in South America and Hell’s Gate appeared in Japan, veiling the once familiar night sky with an oppressive skyscape. Their purposes unknown, these Gates are spaces in which the very laws of physics are ignored. With the appearance of the Gates emerged Contractors, who, in exchange for their humanity, are granted supernatural abilities.
In the Japanese city surrounding Hell’s Gate, Section 4 Chief Misaki Kirihara finds herself at odds with an infamous Contractor codenamed Hei. Called “Black Reaper” in the underground world, Hei, like his associates, undertakes missions for the mysterious and ruthless Syndicate while slowly peeling back the dark layers covering a nefarious plot that threatens the very existence of Contractors.
From the mind of Tensai Okamura comes a sci-fi thriller taking the form of a subtle exposé on a war in which political positions and justice have no sway—a war waged exclusively in the shadows –MAL
If you like shows about people with supernatural powers and action, I think you should watch this series. It’s a show that doesn’t give too much away in the beginning but as the story progresses you can piece the whole plot together. The characters are also brilliantly done especially the contractors that are supposed to be void of human emotions.
19. JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure)

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is an anime that takes you on an adventure. It’s a series that just keeps getting better and better.
Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure follows the stories of a different generation of the JoJo family, whose members have unique powers that they use to fight supernatural enemies.
Kujo Jotaro is a normal, popular Japanese high-schooler, until he thinks that he is possessed by a spirit, and locks himself in prison. After seeing his grandfather, Joseph Joestar, and fighting Joseph’s friend Muhammad Abdul, Jotaro learns that the “Spirit” is actually Star Platinum, his Stand, or fighting energy given a semi-solid form. Later, his mother gains a Stand, and becomes sick. Jotaro learns that it is because the vampire Dio Brando has been revived 100 years after his defeat to Jonathan Joestar, Jotaro’s great-great-grandfather. Jotaro decides to join Joseph and Abdul in a trip to Egypt to defeat Dio once and for all –MAL
I like the way the story follows a different member of the Joestar family? It’s an anime that lives up to the hype that surrounds it. Though it’s an anime that requires a bit of getting used to, it sometimes doesn’t take itself seriously but when it does, it keeps you at the edge of your seat.
18. Naruto/Naruto: Shippuden

Naruto/Naruto: Shippuden is one of the longest-running and most famous international shounen. That has a special place in most anime enthusiasts.
Moments prior to Naruto Uzumaki’s birth, a huge demon known as the Kyuubi, the Nine-Tailed Fox, attacked Konohagakure, the Hidden Leaf Village, and wreaked havoc. In order to put an end to the Kyuubi’s rampage, the leader of the village, the Fourth Hokage, sacrificed his life and sealed the monstrous beast inside the newborn Naruto.
Now, Naruto is a hyperactive and knuckle-headed ninja still living in Konohagakure. Shunned because of the Kyuubi inside him, Naruto struggles to find his place in the village, while his burning desire to become the Hokage of Konohagakure leads him not only to some great new friends, but also some deadly foes –MAL
Naruto/Naruto: Shippuden is an anime with a lot of characters, and there is one you will feel you can relate to and you will cheer on for as the story progresses. And this feels like where the anime shines the most the ability to make us feel for certain characters. And all the while it takes us on an adrenaline-filled journey.
17. Megalo Box (MEGALOBOX)

If you are a Rocky and Ashita no Joe fan, you will love Megalo Box a sports action anime that’s violent and entertaining with a futuristic setting.
“To be quiet and do as you’re told, that’s the cowardly choice.” These are the words of Junk Dog, an underground fighter of Megalo Box, an evolution of boxing that utilizes mechanical limbs known as Gear to enhance the speed and power of its users. Megalo Box is a great anime that asks a big question of how much pain, time, and energy one is willing to give and endure while chasing their dreams. And that resonates with me a lot.
16. Deadman Wonderland

Deadman Wonderland was one of those shows that had everyone who saw it wanting more.
It looked like it would be a normal day for Ganta Igarashi and his classmates—they were preparing to go on a class field trip to a certain prison amusement park called Deadman Wonderland, where the convicts perform dangerous acts for the onlookers’ amusement. However, Ganta’s life is quickly turned upside down when his whole class gets massacred by a mysterious man in red. Framed for the incident and sentenced to death, Ganta is sent to the very jail he was supposed to visit.
But Ganta’s nightmare is only just beginning.
The young protagonist is thrown into a world of sadistic inmates and enigmatic powers, to live in constant fear of the lethal collar placed around his neck that is slowed only by winning in the prison’s deathly games. Ganta must bet his life to survive in a ruthless place where it isn’t always easy to tell friend from foe, all while trying to find the mysterious “Red Man” and clear his name, in Deadman Wonderland –MAL
Deadman Wonderland is a well-written engaging anime with plenty of horrifying scenes, deaths, and amazing visuals.
It’s one of those animes that made me take an interest in the manga, wanting to find out the secrets that lie beneath Deadman Wonderland when I finished watching the anime.
15.Psycho-Pass

Psycho-pass takes place in a futuristic setting, with interesting characters and weapons, where you are constantly being monitored.
Justice, and the enforcement of it, has changed. In the 22nd century, Japan enforces the Sibyl System, an objective means of determining the threat level of each citizen by examining their mental state for signs of criminal intent, known as their Psycho-Pass. Inspectors uphold the law by subjugating, often with lethal force, anyone harbouring the slightest ill-will; alongside them are Enforcers, jaded Inspectors that have become latent criminals, granted relative freedom in exchange for carrying out the Inspectors’ dirty work.
Into this world steps Akane Tsunemori, a young woman with an honest desire to uphold justice. However, as she works alongside veteran Enforcer Shinya Kougami, she soon learns that the Sibyl System’s judgments are not as perfect as her fellow Inspectors assume. With everything she has known turned on its head, Akane wrestles with the question of what justice truly is, and whether it can be upheld through the use of a system that may already be corrupt –MAL
Psycho-Pass is an amazing action anime that shouldn’t be missed. It’s thought-provoking showing how sanity does not always equal morality.
14. Black Lagoon

Black Lagoon is an action anime with a lot of mayhem featuring modern-day pirates, outrageously amazing action scenes, and interesting characters.
Within Thailand is Roanapur, a depraved, crime-ridden city where not even the authorities or churches are untouched by the claws of corruption. A haven for convicts and degenerates alike, the city is notorious for being the centre of illegal activities and operations, often fueled by local crime syndicates.
Enter Rokurou Okajima, an average Japanese businessman who has been living a dull and monotonous life, when he finally gets his chance for a change of pace with a delivery trip to Southeast Asia. His business trip swiftly goes downhill as Rokurou is captured by a mercenary group operating in Roanapur, called Black Lagoon. It’s a story with a lot of ups and downs that tries to tackle themes like existentialism -what are we here for? what’s our purpose? and morality – what is wrong or right?
Plus it has gun-wielding nuns, sociopath maids, and the awesome Revy.
13. Vinland Saga

If you ever wondered what watching an angry Sasuke after he left the hidden Leaf village would be like, I give you Vinland Saga.
Young Thorfinn grew up listening to the stories of old sailors that had travelled the ocean and reached the place of legend, Vinland. It’s said to be warm and fertile, a place where there would be no need for fighting—not at all like the frozen village in Iceland where he was born, and certainly not like his current life as a mercenary. War is his home now. Though his father once told him, “You have no enemies, nobody does. There is nobody who it’s okay to hurt,” as he grew, Thorfinn knew that nothing was further from the truth.
The war between England and the Danes grows worse with each passing year. Death has become commonplace, and the Viking mercenaries are loving every moment of it. Allying with either side will cause a massive swing in the balance of power, and the Vikings are happy to make names for themselves and take any spoils they earn along the way. Vinland Saga is the Berserk Adaptation we deserved. With stunning artwork, consistent and solid animation, and characters you will connect with. It’s one of the best anime of 2019.
12. Samurai Champloo

Samurai Champloo is one of the most unconventional, thrilling action anime about samurai.
Fuu Kasumi is a young and clumsy waitress who spends her days peacefully working in a small teahouse. That is, until she accidentally spills a drink all over one of her customers! With a group of samurai now incessantly harassing her, Fuu desperately calls upon another samurai in the shop, Mugen, who quickly defeats them with his wild fighting technique, utilizing movements reminiscent to that of breakdancing. Unfortunately, Mugen decides to pick a fight with the unwilling ronin Jin, who wields a more precise and traditional style of sword fighting, and the latter proves to be a formidable opponent. The only problem is, they end up destroying the entire shop as well as accidentally killing the local magistrate’s son.
For their crime, the two samurai are captured and set to be executed. However, they are rescued by Fuu, who hires the duo as her bodyguards. Though she no longer has a place to return to, the former waitress wishes to find a certain samurai who smells of sunflowers and enlists the help of the now exonerated pair to do so. Despite initially disapproving of this idea, the two eventually agree to assist the girl in her quest; thus, the trio embarks upon an adventure to find this mysterious warrior—that is, if Fuu can keep Mugen and Jin from killing each other.
Set in an alternate Edo Period of Japan, Samurai Champloo follows the journey of these three eccentric individuals in an epic quest full of action, comedy, and dynamic sword fighting, all set to the beat of a unique hip-hop infused soundtrack –MAL
It’s a series that takes the usual “power of love and friendship” plot most animes takes and throws it out the window.
Throwing a trio of mismatched characters together and forming an unlikely team, we will all be sad to see part ways at the end of their journey together. I’m still hoping for a second season.
11. Tokyo Ghoul

Tokyo Ghoul is an anime I looked forward to watching after reading the plot, I immediately started reading the manga.
Tokyo has become a cruel and merciless city—a place where vicious creatures called “ghouls” exist alongside humans. The citizens of this once great metropolis live in constant fear of these bloodthirsty savages and their thirst for human flesh. However, the greatest threat these ghouls pose is their dangerous ability to masquerade as humans and blend in with society.
Based on the best-selling supernatural horror manga by Sui Ishida, Tokyo Ghoul follows Ken Kaneki, a shy, bookish college student, who is instantly drawn to Rize Kamishiro, an avid reader like himself. However, Rize is not exactly who she seems, and this unfortunate meeting pushes Kaneki into the dark depths of the ghouls’ inhuman world. In a twist of fate, Kaneki is saved by the enigmatic waitress Touka Kirishima, and thus begins his new, secret life as a half-ghoul/half-human who must find a way to integrate into both societies –MAL
Tokyo Ghoul was quite enjoyable even though I felt there was room for more improvement. It’s an anime that’s not for everyone either being a swing or a miss.

It is a true gem, that proves the saying “never judge a book by its cover” or in this case art style. A definite must-watch for an action lover’s time.

Afro Samurai is an anime about revenge and katanas, filled with a lot of action right off from the beginning of the story.
When he was a young boy, Afro witnessed his father be cut down in a duel at the hands of a man known only as Justice. After taking the life of Afro’s father, Justice cast aside his Number Two headband and took the Number One to claim its godly powers as his own.
Years later, having obtained the Number Two headband which grants him the right to challenge the Number One, Afro moves forward in his hunt for revenge on the man who murdered his father. There is just one thing that stands in his way—everyone else in the world! Though the Number One can only be challenged by the Number Two, the Number Two can be challenged by anyone. 6. Stranger: Mukou Hadan (Sword of the Stranger)

Sword of the Stranger is a great movie with a lot of amazing action scenes.
In the Sengoku period of Japan, a young orphan named Kotarou and his dog Tobimaru steals from unsuspecting villagers in order to make ends meet. However, Kotarou is forced to remain on the run when he finds himself being hunted down by assassins sent by China’s Ming Dynasty for mysterious reasons not involving his petty crimes.
Fortunately, the duo runs into Nanashi, a ronin who has taken refuge in a small temple, when Kotarou is attacked and Tobimaru poisoned. Although the samurai saves the helpless pair from their pursuers, he feels that there is no need to help them further; but when offered a gem in exchange for his services as a bodyguard, he reluctantly accepts Kotarou’s offer of employment—just until Tobimaru is healed and the two reach their destination. As the three set out on a perilous journey, it soon becomes evident that their path is riddled with danger, as the Ming Dynasty has now sent a terrifying swordsman after them to capture Kotarou and fulfil a certain prophecy –MAL
If you love historical settings that’s another reason to give Sword of the Stranger a chance.
It won’t disappoint with its relatable characters, amazing action sequences, beautiful art style, and just the brotherly love that is shown between the two main characters as the story progresses.
5. Dragon Ball Z

Dragon Ball Z is like a fine wine that only seems to get better with the years.

4. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is an anime with an amazing plot, engaging action, lovable characters, comedy, drama, and beautiful music.
“In order for something to be obtained, something of equal value must be lost.”
Alchemy is bound by this Law of Equivalent Exchange—something the young brothers Edward and Alphonse Elric only realize after attempting human transmutation: the one forbidden act of alchemy. They pay a terrible price for their transgression—Edward loses his left leg, Alphonse his physical body. A must-watch anime series for anime fans alike. I like how it showed how as humans how far we are willing to go for the ones we love.

My Hero Academia has been praised as one of the newest big three of its time.
The appearance of “quirks,” newly discovered superpowers, has been steadily increasing over the years, with 80 per cent of humanity possessing various abilities from manipulation of elements to shapeshifting. This leaves the remainder of the world completely powerless, and Izuku Midoriya is one such individual.
Since he was a child, the ambitious middle schooler has wanted nothing more than to be a hero. Izuku’s unfair fate leaves him admiring heroes and taking notes on them whenever he can. But it seems that his persistence has borne some fruit: Izuku meets the number one hero and his personal idol, All Might. All Might’s quirk is a unique ability that can be inherited, and he has chosen Izuku to be his successor!
Enduring many months of gruelling training, Izuku enrols in UA High, a prestigious high school famous for its excellent hero training program, and this year’s freshmen look especially promising. It’s a superhero genre that has been done right, very realistic with lovable and relatable characters. Showing how hard work and skill go hand-in-hand with being good at something.

At the beginning of the first chapter of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, we see Konoha village completely destroyed, the great stone faces are gone, Naruto and Sasuke are also nowhere to be found.
And there was this;
It’s left a lot of us who have followed the series since Naruto with a lot of questions and concerns. Where did he send Naruto to? Is Naruto still alive? What happened to the Kyuubi if he is? Do we really want to follow the story of Boruto if he is? Who’s the next Hokage if he is? So so many questions…..
After all, Naruto has been a significant character and face of the franchise for 20-years now.
Naruto and Sasuke have fought their way through enemies like the Akatsuki, Madara & Obito Uchiha and Kaguya just to name a few and they have evaded death each time and becoming godlike shinobi. At least till now.
We have watched our number one Knuckle-Headed Ninja move from genin to the seventh Hokage of Konoha with a lot of hard work, blood, sweat and tears. So it’s hard to believe there is nothing he can’t overcome. So how does he take a back seat or die in Boruto?
What we know so far
Masashi Kishimoto is not the creator of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations but is merely in a supervisory role on the new manga. Probably because of his ownership of the original characters.
Ukyo Kodachi is the real author of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations and has creative freedom to do whatever he wants with the manga. And he’s definitely making Boruto’s story his own.
A new villain has been revealed in the Boruto Manga
Isshiki Ōtsutsuki
Jigen whose possessed by the mysterious Isshiki Ōtsutsuki, a character adaptation that can be linked to Japanese folklore, like how Kaguya was influenced by the story of a little girl found in a bamboo tree who was actually a celestial being from the moon, expelled to Earth to live a mortal lifespan.
Isshiki was an inch-tall boy who fought a demon with a needle from its insides and stole its magic hammer that could make things grow or shrink. The power Jigen uses in his fight with Naruto and Sasuke is quite similar to that.
Naruto and Sasuke find themselves facing an opponent they can’t seem to beat no matter what they throw at him. They are both completely overpowered.
Judging from the battle so far, Isshiki is far more powerful than Kaguya or the Sage of Six Paths, and I don’t think he fought at full power like them. So it’s starting to get clearer why maybe Naruto might not be around anymore. Against the alien god, Naruto and Sasuke seem to be reminded of their mortality. And we are not even sure if he’s the most powerful person in the Ōtsutsuki clan or the strongest being out there.
Naruto is captured and Sasuke barely escapes. During their battle Isshiki seemed to be more worried about overexerting his fragile vessel Jigen than the attacks of the duo.
But here is the part that really caught my attention. The sadistic Isshiki instead of killing Naruto wants him to suffer mentally and not just physically for interrupting his plans of capturing Kawaki. So he seals Naruto away in a kettle-like coffin, which cuts his chakra off from the real world.
So have we found out what Kawaki meant when he said;

Maybe Isshiki has possessed Kawaki or maybe it’s just Kawaki that has sealed Naruto away again. Sure killing Naruto would but a lot more spotlight on Boruto but it’s a double-edged sword that could help the manga or reduce it’s readers.
I mean sealing Naruto away would be a way of carrying the old readers along and making sure we keep reading to see when Naruto would be unsealed, all the while trying to win us over to loving Boruto has much as we like Naruto.
But then again Kodachi killing off a key character like Naruto would definitely help in removing the spotlight from the old generation and putting it more on Boruto’s generation.
We can all admit that Naruto is no longer the main character, apart from being a well-loved character and supervisor now like his creator Masashi Kishimoto, his story has ended. While Boruto’s is just getting started – interesting or boring, the touch has been passed on.
However, if our number one Knuckle-Headed Ninja leaves the story he won’t go without a fight, cause that is his ninja way.

So 6 anime that are similar to Dororo?, hello everyone. So you want to watch another anime with a moody dark tone about love, greed, revenge and betrayal.
Dororo was produced by Tezuka Productions and MAPPA, and is the brainchild of Osamu Tezuka- who is considered “the father of manga”. For creation of classics like Astro Boy.
And for those not familiar with Dororo yet;
Dororo is an anime that follows the story of Hyakkimaru, whose greedy and selfish father Kagemitsu Daigo, sacrifices his body to demons to gain power (yes he won’t be winning any father of the year awards). We Follow Hyakkimaru has he defeats demons to regain his body with a mischievous child Dororo. Now back to the main topic:

Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit

Moribito is an anime series that like Dororo follows two strangers who meet by chance, Prince Chagum– the emperor’s son and whose also thought to be the reincarnation of a water demon that is causing drought to their empire, so therefore most be sacrificed. And Balsa– the kick butt heroine who saves the prince’s life during an assassination attempt and later begged by his mother to keep him safe.
The same themes are present as in Dororo from the emphasis on the beauty of life, nature, family and the bonds that can be fromed by two strangers who embark on this journey together.
Katanagatari

Katanagatari is set in the edo period Japan, where the Shogunate and samurai are still very active and ruling. And there are many different sword-fighting techniques.
We follow Shichika Yasuri–a wielder of a sword technique that uses his own body as a blade. He is also the seventh head of the Kyotouryuu school, living quietly with his sister Nanami.
Until he meets ths strategist Togame, who he falls for. She has been sent by the Shogunate to retrieve 12 unique swords called “Deviant Blades”, he accept to help her on her mission because he likes her. So their dangerous adventure beings.
Katanagatari similarities to Dororo is in it historic setting and our two characters, Shichika and Togame whose continued association on their journey to retrieve the 12 swords, causes major developmental growth in both characters. Making them both better and more relatable.
Afro Samurai

Afro after witnessing the death of his father in a dual with a man named Justice for the Number One headband. Afro vows revenge against Justice who killed his father for the Number One headband.
But there is a catchy on his path to vengeance he has to possess the Number Two headband, if he wishes to fight the new Number One. And even after possessing the Number Two headband, he will have to fight pretty much everyone in the world people to get to the Number One. Because unlike the Number One, the Number Two can be challenged by anyone.
Afro Samurai to me is similar to Dororo in it’s setting of samurai and the moral lessons, it constantly resounds in us that “how far is too far?” on our path to revenge. Is revenge really done for what is lost to us? or really more for us to find a way to cope with our loss. Are we really hurting anyone but ourselves has we chase revenge? and What remains after, of us when we have carried out our revenge?
Samurai Champloo

Samurai Champloo follows three unlikely pair Fuu, Jin and Mugen. Brought together by chance but stuck together by choice or blackmail?, out of a debt to pay to Fuu after saving them from being executed.
They follow her on a wild adventure to different places in their search for the samurai that smells of sunflowers.
Samurai Champloo and Dororo are similar in the delight you will get in watching them on their journey, it really makes you feel like you are setting out on an adventure. Characters having both minor and major goals they wish to accomplish, which make them more relatable. Both animes have an historical setting and many interesting characters they meet along the way, also with their minor or major goals that make them very human like instead of just 2 dimensional characters.
Stranger: Mukou Hadan (Sword of the Stranger)

We follow the story of an orphan boy named Kotarou, his dog Tobimaru and Nanashi a ronin. Having a random encounter in a small temple, where they are attacked by assassins sent by the China’s Ming Dynasty to kill Kotarou but the two are saved by Nanashi.
After Kotarou offers Nanashi a gem in exchange for his continued protection and escort to their destination, he agrees and dangerous journey with many twists and turns begins.
Sword of the Stranger shares similarities to Dororo with it’s historical setting, main characters being similar in both series are young, orphaned and streetwise youth, with a strong and older brotherly figure. Growth for both character, happen also from having the other at their side. The duo feed of each others being, making them become more relatable characters.
Berserk

Berserk is an amazing story that is hard to know where to begin from explaining it, like Dororo it’s a story filled with love, loss, greed, betrayal, revenge and so much more, just with the story more gritty, darker and mature.
We meet Guts a mercenary with an horrible childhood, who finds some one he respects and trusts, only to be betrayed and have everything taken from him right in front of his eyes by the person he thought was a friend, in the most gruesome way possible.

Does Kakashi Hatake have a son? and am I the only one curious about this. Hay everyone, so I been wanting to write about this but haven’t been having enough time to sit down and get it done.
With the beginning of the new series Boruto: Naruto Next Generations we saw that almost everyone has already settled down, apart from Kakashi, Guy and maybe a few others.
But Kakashi not settling down, really bugs me, especially after seeing the new generation of konoha ninjas, I just felt it wasn’t fair not having a little copy ninja running around.

I mean he’s such a great ninja and everyone has a little one why can’t he. I mean does that mean he never found happiness and you know what I mean.
I know having a wife and kids doesn’t make or prove you are happy. I just feel there is someone for everyone, so why couldn’t Kakashi find his or did he ?
So let’s look at reasons why Kakashi might not have wanted to settle down.
The Real Reason Why Kakashi Isn’t Married ?
To try and figure this out let’s have a quick refresher on his past;
He grew up as an orphan when his father killed himself, after going against orders and being discriminated for this. This did a number on Kakashi and made him believe that the orders a ninja was given should always be absolute.
He had to carry the burden and regret of his best friend Obito and fellow team mate Rin dying, which he felt was all his faults, caused my his inadequacies.
Dealing with his sensei’s death (Minato)
He couldn’t keep Sasuke on the straight and narrow path, when he became the Sensei of team 7
He was never able to finish reading his favourite series of novels he loved because of the death of the author (Jiraya)
Kakashi life has always been very difficult, it’s a very emotionally draining one that would make most of us unhinged.
It’s not hard to believe that at some point, he would become scared of loving or subconsciously avoid loving things. Believing that everything he seems to loves dissappears or dies.
I mean even once Kishimoto stated that in reality he didn’t make Kakashi finding the girl of his life simply because he keeps his face always covered.
Or was it that Kakashi didn’t want to build a family because it would have made him weak in front of his enemies, since he would have had something more to lose or something more to care about in those life or death situations of being a ninja.
Or could Kakashi Hatake have been playing one on us all these years. I have my doubts after watching this episode of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations and seeing this boy.
Houki Taketori
Yes I know they don’t have the same surname and yes he could just be another fan boy of the legendary 6th Hokage.
But it is possible he’s Kakashi’s son, I mean Naruto’s through parentage was hidden from him because of all the enemies the fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze and his wife Kushina Uzumaki because of her bloodline had.
Am sure the 6th Hokage is not lacking in the department of “enemies who would try to get to him through his loved ones.”
Maybe hiding in plain sight as a 6th Hokage fan might be the way to go. And maybe am just over thinking this but he as had love interests, lets look into that.
Kakashi Hatake’s love interest?
Starting off the list of women Kakashi could have fathered a child;
Rin Nohara
This technically doesn’t count since it was a one sided love. Kakashi has never shown interest with her other than keeping his promise he had with Obito which he failed at keeping by the way.

Kahyo
Well Kahyo some of you might not know she’s from a spin-off novel Kakashi Hiden: Lightning In The Icy Sky, it is set shortly after Sasuke’s departure from the Hidden Leaf. Part of Naruto Hiden (a.k.a. Naruto Secret Chronicles) is a light novel series which explores the stories of various characters after the conclusion of the original manga. This one shows how Kakashi becomes the 6th Hokage.
Kakashi seemed to fall for her. Shes a ninja that is at a Kage skill level using ice release justu. Even going one on one with Raikage Ay and winning the training fight.
They meet at a point were she’s join a group that follow Madera way’s and they are trying to take down the system and at the end she ends up serving a life sentence as the warden of blood prison, so is there a chance there really.
It’s implied though that there was something going on between them, I mean with the last line of the novel being,
“Spring time is around the corner”
which in Japan is often a sign of blossoming love
Even if logic and reason point otherwise, I means she even says her job as the warden of blood prison keeps her really busy.
But Kakashi literally chases Naruto across Konoha to reprimand him for spreading rumors about him being head-over-heels for Kahyo, and while those could be the actions of an innocent or a guilty man, the actual letter he sends her is fairly innocent and she does say she’s happy now, could it be because of love who knows.

Hanare
Where to start with Hanare and Kakashi to me this is the most probable person he could have had a child with.
Hanare is a kunoichi and spy from the Jōmae Village. As a young child, Hanare was said to be very lonely since she had never known her family or seen her own village. I think they really connected on an emotional level more than any of the other women on our list.
They both clearly had feelings for each other and I really felt our copy ninja was in love. There was a scene in the beginning of episode 191, where he sees a girl acting like Hanare and he whispers her name.
He seemed really sad and seemed to miss her, and this is from a guy who keeps his emotions suppressed as much as possible so for him to show such emotions I felt he most be deeply in love with her.
Or maybe the only relationship Kakashi wants are;
His Dogs
I mean they have been with him forever and they are mans best friends.
His Mask
I mean he as two spares just in case something happens to the first one
Well either way I guess we can hope and dream, that maybe love conquered one of the coolest Ninjas in Narutoverse.
